General Information

Quantum Resources Incorporated is a company established in 2007 engaged in the establishment and operation of agriculture estates and the management of forestry plantations in Liberia. Quantum’s management and executives have 40 plus years of combined experience in Africa, USA, and South America.

Quantum retains membership with the following organizations; the Liberian Business Association (LIBA), Liberian Chamber of Commerce, Liberian Timber Association (LTA), Association of Liberian Loggers (ALL) and the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO).

Projects

Forestry
Quantum was one of the first companies in Liberia to be pre-qualified to bid on Forest Management Contracts (FMC’s) after the lifting of United Nations (U.N) Sanctions on the exportation of timber and the enactment of a National Forestry Reform Law. Quantum is pre-qualified to bid on FMC’s up to 250,000 acres. Quantum is currently installing sawmills in Rivercess and Sinoe counties in southeastern Liberia to process logs supplied by local chiefdoms.

Quantum has secured through the Forestry Development Authority (FDA) a 2,500 acre Balsa plantation for 25 years. The contract for this plantation was signed in November of 2009. Quantum will establish a nursery and expand the existing planted area from 400 to 2,500acres. Quantum is partnering with Core Composites, a company based in Rhode Island, USA for technical support and marketing.

Agriculture
Quantum Resources is in the process of providing a platform for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into Liberia’s oil palm sector bringing investor’s together with local land owners in an equity based venture. Quantum is also finalizing a contractual arrangement with two different communities in the Southeast of Liberia to develop palm on 120,000 acres of tribal land. Quantum has purchased 1,500 acres of land within this area to be developed as a nursery and nucleus site for the plantation. Quantum is finalizing negotiations in Rivercess County to secure 2,000 acres of land to develop a coconut estate to produce coconut sugar and coconut oil.
